KDU Library Knowledge Sharing Series Webinar No.1
The first webinar of the knowledge-sharing program organized by the KDU Library was held on May 10, 2023 via Zoom with the theme "21st Century & Education 4.0: A Curriculum and Knowledge Building Model Revisited" by Dr. Sunil Jayantha Nawarathne, Director General, National Institute of Education.
The speech emphasized technology-based education and preparing the Alpha generation for millennial challenges. The speaker presented a knowledge-building model that is an improvement on the K-SAM Model published by S.J. Navarathne et al. which was accepted by the UGC's SLQ framework. He also highlighted the need of educating students for the future by providing them with digital-age skills, as well as the need for a curriculum that emphasizes on critical thinking.
A distinguished audience of academics, educators, researchers, and other interested listeners from universities, educational institutions, and other government sector organizations in Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and Nigeria attended the webinar.
