Library Training Program for Naval Nursing Trainees – May 2025
The KDU Library successfully conducted a five-day training program on library management for trainees from the Naval Nursing Training School, Welisara, from 26th to 30th May 2025. The programme has been conducted upon the request made by the ………… Objective of the programme was to enhance the trainees’ understanding of library management and to introduce modern library functions and services. The program covered a range of topics including: library classification and cataloguing, circulation and reference services, digital library systems and e-resources, information literacy, research support, and library promotion. The participants had made a presentation on designing new library services at NNTS as an outcome of the programme
